Our IMC course, including prep for both units, has been designed to deliver the knowledge required not only to pass the exam but also to provide you with a solid foundation for a career in financial services. Our expert tutors focus on helping you master the syllabus by encouraging active learning. Classes, whether they are online or face-to-face are designed to be engaging, interactive and enjoyable.
Our study materials provide an intuitive understanding of the core topic areas, some of which include financial markets, regulations, accounting, economics and financial maths; all the concepts necessary for you to succeed at your IMC exam.
If you are coming from a non-financial background we offer support courses including the Introduction to Accounting to boost your confidence and fill any knowledge gaps.
Candidates are given 12 months access to the Quartic Online portal in line with CFA UK.
The IMC is examined using computer-based testing, and testing occurs throughout the working week at test centres across the UK, run by Pearson VUE.
The exam format is a mix between standard multiple choice, item sets and gap-fill style questions. Unit 1: Investment Environment has 85 questions, with a 1 hour 40 minute time limit. Unit 2: Investment Practice has 105 questions, with a 2 hour 20 minute time limit.

No formal prerequisites required. However, if you come from a non-financial background, consider taking our introductory financial maths or accounting course before you start your studies.
